Summary
This activity is designed to improve sentence accuracy and complexity. Most students can produce the key content words in a sentence. However, they have difficulty with accuracy because the functional words are difficult or can seem unimportant. This activity will help learners eliminate problems with these functional words by giving them immediate feedback on the mistakes they are making. It will also help students develop their use of more natural, varied and complex sentence structures.
TIP: Say the sentence out loud. Notice the types of mistake you make often. Focus on those types of errors. (singular/plural, subject-verb agreement, article use, prepositions, gerunds and infinitives, noun clauses, adjective clauses, word order, and word forms.)

Listen & Repeat
This activity has two purposes.
The first purpose is to improve listening accuracy. Learners can often understand the general meaning of a video but still not hear and understand many of the words that are said. This is because native speakers tend to say the functional words unclearly. (eg. don’t know, going to, want to, can’t, must have) This activity is designed to help learners improve their ability to hear these words.
TIP: Learners should listen, and then try to repeat exactly what they hear. Then they should click “Show” and read the sentence. After reading the sentence, learners should listen again and try to hear each word.
The second purpose is to improve pronunciation.
TIP: Learners should listen to and read the sentences at the same time. Then learners should try to copy the pronunciation and intonation of the speaker exactly.
TIP: Exaggerating the intonation and feeling of the speaker is useful. It may feel awkward or funny, but it will help you sound more natural.
Escuchar y Repetir
Ouvir e repetir
Esta atividade tem dois propósitos.
O primeiro objetivo é melhorar a precisão auditiva.
O segundo objetivo é melhorar a pronúncia.
DICA: os alunos devem ouvir e ler as frases ao mesmo tempo. Em seguida, os alunos devem tentar copiar exatamente a pronúncia e a entonação do falante.
DICA: É útil exagerar na entonação e no sentimento do falante. Pode parecer estranho ou engraçado, mas ajudará você a soar mais natural.

Isaac: Roy said we're not allowed anymore.
Colin: He fucking head-butted me. I'm still dizzy half the time. The doctors told me not to drink.
Jamie: Ah! Shit.
Roy: Yet another reason shirts exist.
Jamie: Shut up, it's not funny. I burnt my nipple.
Woman: I wish I was that ice cube. Mm? I will be bidding for a night with you.
Jamie: Oh. Thanks, love. Yeah, it's just a date though. It's not a whole night.
Woman: We'll see.
Jamie: Fuck you and fuck this table!
Keeley: Jamie, it was a joke. It was a joke. Jamie.
Ted: What happened now?
Jamie: Just the usual. Jamie being a little bitch prima donna.
Ted: Roy, let me ask you something. What were you like when you were 23? Playing in this league, making all that money.
Jamie: A little bitch prima donna.
Ted: Yeah. You know how they say that "youth is wasted on the young"? Well, I say don't let the wisdom of age be wasted on you.
Rebecca: Ted?
Ted: I just came up with that. I feel pretty good about it.
Nate: I just wanted to say thanks for talking to Colin and Isaac.
Roy: Why is your face so close to mine?
Nate: Well, my initial plan was to hug you, but I just chickened out just now.
Roy: Right. Okay, we're done.
Roy: When I was coming up, there was this old geezer at the club, Doug Stashwick. He was always on me. We hated each other. - You want to know how we won the league?
Jamie: No.
Roy: It was the same shit Yankee Doodle was peddling. He sat me down and he said, "Let's get it all out there. You tell me why I'm a prick, and I'll tell you why you are."
Jamie: You're a nasty bastard...
Roy: No, I'm going first. Even though I know I should pass to you, you're so selfish and arrogant. Every time I do, it makes me want to fucking puke.
Jamie: You know, I had a poster of you on my wall when I was a kid. I used to love watching you play. But you're not the player that you used to be. And just because you won a few trophies, you walk around here expecting everyone to kiss your ring.
Roy: Yeah, I can be like that. Now's the bit where you admit to what I said.
Jamie: I don't want to. Even if it is just a little bit true.
Jamie: You and that Doug bloke, you ever become friends?
Roy: Fuck no. I hope he's dead.
Jamie: To you dying.
Roy: Such a prick.
