triangle Listen & Repeat 듣고 따라하기 Ouça e repita Escuchar y repetir [ ? ]

Listen & Repeat

This activity has two purposes.

The first purpose is to improve listening accuracy. Learners can often understand the general meaning of a video but still not hear and understand many of the words that are said. This is because native speakers tend to say the functional words unclearly. (eg. don’t know, going to, want to, can’t, must have) This activity is designed to help learners improve their ability to hear these words.

TIP: Learners should listen, and then try to repeat exactly what they hear. Then they should click “Show” and read the sentence. After reading the sentence, learners should listen again and try to hear each word.

The second purpose is to improve pronunciation.

TIP: Learners should listen to and read the sentences at the same time. Then learners should try to copy the pronunciation and intonation of the speaker exactly.

TIP: Exaggerating the intonation and feeling of the speaker is useful. It may feel awkward or funny, but it will help you sound more natural.

Escuchar y Repetir

Ouvir e repetir

Esta atividade tem dois propósitos.

O primeiro objetivo é melhorar a precisão auditiva.

O segundo objetivo é melhorar a pronúncia.

DICA: os alunos devem ouvir e ler as frases ao mesmo tempo. Em seguida, os alunos devem tentar copiar exatamente a pronúncia e a entonação do falante.

DICA: É útil exagerar na entonação e no sentimento do falante. Pode parecer estranho ou engraçado, mas ajudará você a soar mais natural.

Ted: All right, fellas. Excuse me.

Beard: Listen up!

Ted: Thank you, Coach. Now, we got Crystal Palace coming here on Saturday. Anything we need to know, Coach?

Beard: Lot of speed on the outside.

Ted: Okay. Anything else?

Beard: Lot of speed.

Ted: Okay, you heard the man. Y'all whipped them up pretty good earlier this year, so me and Coach ain't going to mess with the game plan. But, we would like to start fiddling with the way we do things in the locker room. And if the Internet has taught us anything, it's that sometimes it's easier to speak our minds anonymously. Right? So I asked Nate here to make us a good old-fashioned suggestion box. Hey, look at that.

Nate: Yeah, did it with my niece. She loves crafts.

Ted: Yeah. I love glimpses into your personal life. This is lovely.

Ted: So, if anything's got y'all hot and bothered, just go ahead and drop us a note. You could have issue with the color of the towels or, heck, the food in the vending machine. Sound good? Okay, great. See y'all tomorrow.

Roy: Oi. We're middle of the table, we've lost three of four, and you wanna know if the snacks in the locker room are tasty enough?

Ted: Are they?

Roy: Jesus Christ.

Jamie: They are not.

Beard: Sam's down in every stat since Nigeria. Maybe the Premiership's too much for him.

Ted: No, he just needs to get a little more comfy here, that's all.

Beard: He turns 20 on Saturday.

Ted: There we go. A birthday. We'll do something special for him. Nudge that ship in the right direction, yeah?

Ted: Hey. Let's see what we got here. "Wanker." Let's see what else we got. "Piss off, wanker." "I hope you choke on a Big Mac."

Beard: Good thing these are anonymous.

Ted: No, Roy signed that one.

Ted: Here's a good one. "Shower pressure is rubbish." Make a note of that. "Wanker." Yep. I'm not going to say that word out loud. Another "wanker."

Woman: You don't want to let them call you a wanker, Ted. It's bad.

Ted: What's a wanker?

Ted: I'm a visual learner, so that's very helpful. Thank you.

Woman: My pleasure.

Ted: Boy, that is bad. Somebody ought to check this thing's prostate. Jeez.

Ted: Hey, Sam. You have got to pop upstairs real quick. Higgins wants to talk to you. Move it, move it.

Nate: Yep, yep. He's gone, he's gone.

Ted: Hey. Yo, hey, guys. Listen up, listen up. Okay, Sam's birthday is on Saturday. So I was thinking we'd all chip in and get him something nice. Nice gift or something. Right?

Ted: So, Nate's gonig to be coming around with yet another impressive box. Look at this. It's got a face!

Nate: He has a face.

Ted: Sorry, it. He. He. You put the money in his mouth.

Ted: Okay, you hear that, y'all? Got it? Okay, good. Go get them, Nate. Okay? Help him out.

Nate: All right. Lovely. Thanks, Colin. You put the money in his mouth.

Jamie: Yummy for you. It's spearmint. Make the money smell nice.

Nate: Thank you, Jamie. That's incredibly thoughtful.

Ted: Hey, Jamie. Real quick. Just wanna have a chat. Did you put gum in the box there?

Jamie: Yeah. Yeah.

Ted: Now, why did you go and do that?

Jamie: Sorry, Coach.

Ted: Nate's just trying to help us out here. He's part of the team, right?

Yeah, right, Coach. Yeah, yeah. And I see this team like a band.

Ted: I love that.

Jamie: And if we were the Rolling Stones, I'd be Mick Jagger because I'm the front man. I got the moves.

Ted: Got a tiny waist, yeah. The whole bit. I get it.

Jamie: And Roy would be Keith Richards, because he's old and everyone's surprised he ain't dead yet.

Roy: What the fuck are you saying?

Jamie: Roy, mate, if you're going to go to the shower, you should take your sweater off first, pal.

Jamie: I'm just taking the piss, mate. I'll be better. Promise.
