Amber Guyger, the police officer charged with manslaughter in the shooting of a man inside his Dallas apartment, has been officially fired from the department, according to CNN and a statement from the Dallas Police Chief. An internal affairs investigation was conducted and ultimately concluded at Guyger engaged in adverse conduct. The case sparked outraged and garnered lots of publicity after the officer shot and killed Botham Jean, a 26 year old blackman in his own apartment. Guyger reportedly thought she was entering her own apartment and that Jean was an intruder, not realizing she was on the wrong floor of her building.
